Social network Gab said on Friday he went offline “out of caution” to resolve a Bitcoin spam problem.
The company said it discovered and corrected a “security vulnerability ”in its code base.
“At 6:09 p.m. EST, Gab became aware of several accounts that were posting Bitcoin wallet spam and related content,” the company said in a blog post signed by Andrew Torba, Managing Director.
